Exterior Clocks by Good Directions Listed as a Great British Great
With the eyes of the world on Great Britain in 2012 as the nation hosts the Olympics and the Queen celebrates her Diamond Jubilee, a new Virtual Great Exhibition is being held to celebrate great British achievements.
The original Great Exhibition world fair in London’s Crystal Palace was opened in 1851 by Queen Victoria, the only other British monarch to complete 60 years on the throne. It was visited by over six million people – nearly 20 per cent of the population of the Britain at that time.
As part of the Virtual Great Exhibition, leading clock designer and manufacturer Good Directions Ltd was approached to enter its products in the award category 'Made in Britain'. The Hampshire company has 25 years experience of making interior and exterior clocks for commercial projects and domestic properties and has built a enviable reputation worldwide. The company’s clocks can be housed in all types of structures and bespoke features can be created for individual customers.
Recent special projects have included a 15.1m high, 10 tonnes Grandfather clock now in Azerbaijan, a pavement clock with a time capsule underneath installed in Windsor (both pictured), a scaled replica of Big Ben for Harrods and a feature clock for two Disney stores.
