Commissioning underway on new paint line for Smart
With the installation of the new state-of-the-art vertical paint line completed successfully, Smart Systems is pleased to announce that the commissioning process of the new equipment has commenced.
The comprehensive commissioning process will ensure that both the sophisticated mechanical machinery and the software programmes that run the paint line function correctly and to the standards that Smart’s customers expect.
The new vertical paint line uses cutting-edge waste capture, energy efficiency and production planning technology and also features an integral vertical pre-treatment plant using the same 100% chromate free process that Smart uses with its existing horizontal paint line.
Smart’s two paint lines are the most advanced of their kind in the country and the new vertical line offers a significant boost to the company’s production capacity. Taken together, both lines have a total capacity in excess of 500m² of painted material per hour and will provide Smart’s customers with an unrivalled market-leading service.
Full production on the new paint line is expected to start in September.
