Demista provides Trouble Free Door Security
An innovative new door security product, the Digital Door Viewer (DDV) by demista™, has been introduced to allow anyone inside a house, hotel room or business premises to see who is outside by using this self-contained, electronic video system requiring no wiring, fitted to the outside door.
Launched by R & D Marketing Limited, the Digital Door Viewer can be easily and quickly installed to new or existing doors and requires no external wiring or electrical connections. Once fitted, the battery-operated device works by a simple push button to show a clear, expanded view outside. The digital camera inside the DDV operates via a 14 mm diameter hole in the door positioned at comfortable eye level. From the outside it looks similar to the conventional spy-hole.
The Police recommendation on their official website http://www.securedbydesign.com advises, “If you don’t have a window in the door or some other way of checking who is calling, fit a door viewer. Look through this to identify callers before you open the door”.
The Digital Door Viewer takes this further by replacing the limited image seen through a conventional spy-hole with a wide, full-colour, high quality LCD display. The DDV measures 140mm high by 216mm wide and 25mm deep within a neat silver tone frame. Total measurements of the display are 82mm high by 109mm wide. The units come with mounting screws and require 8 AA batteries. Alternative decorator colours can be ordered for minimum quantities of 50 at extra cost.
