Press Room: Addaset resin bound surfacing transforms concrete pedestrian forecourt

Addaset resin bound surfacing transforms concrete pedestrian forecourt

Addaset resin bound surfacing from Addagrip Terraco provided the answer when the owners of a Hampshire technology park wanted to improve the appearance and functionality of the forecourt reception area.

Entrance to technology park

Langstone Technology Park, near Portsmouth, provides 45,000 m² of workspace for office, call-centre, R&D, technology, data centre and manufacturing businesses. The former IBM building, built in the 1970s, needed an update. Divided into two parts, the upper elevation of the forecourt was connected to the door area by steps, all constructed in concrete and tiles.

The client was looking for a hard wearing, low maintenance surface that would rejuvenate the existing 300 sq m concrete paved pedestrian area and selected a porous resin bound system in a bold design using two different colours.

Addagrip approved contractor Elite Surface Solutions was delighted to be appointed to install Addaset resin bound surfacing in a patterned finish using Rhine Gold and Terracotta aggregate blends. The result is a seamless, hard wearing, contemporary surface bringing colour and delineation to this pedestrian area.
