Types and Uses
Throughout the construction and civil engineering industries, numerous types of fixings are needed to anchor steelwork, façades, fencing, machinery and pipe support into concrete, brick, block and stone. Over the years, some highly innovative products have been developed for specific tasks and there are bolts that have been rigorously tested to anchor the toughest loads to any type of structural frame.
For concrete and brickwork, fixing systems often comprise a cast-in or surface mounted channel into which T bolts or restraint fixings are inserted. These have the advantage of allowing adjustments without the need for site drilling.
Anchor bolts come in a wide range of sizes and specialised shapes for every application. Stud type, through bolt, internally threaded anchors and shield anchors with an eyebolt or hook are just some of the many choices. Expansion bolts include a sleeve for added strength.
