Types and Uses
The green, green grass of home ... or of a sports venue, business or retail park for that matter. Britain is known for its green and pleasant landscape. But creating and maintaining large grassed areas needs skill and care.
Starting off with the best turf makes a world of difference to the success of a green space. It is not just a question of the quality of the rolls of grass, but whether the right product has been chosen for the application, and how that product was grown, harvested and delivered.
It is important to choose a company with specialist knowledge of the different grades of turf suited to gardens, public parks, landscaped spaces, golf courses, football pitches or bowling greens. Look for a supplier offering turf ranges with different combinations of grasses chosen for hard-wearing or aesthetic characteristics. Some will grow bespoke turf to meet exact requirements if needed.
Extra large rolls of turf covering 15 sq metres are available from some suppliers, making commercial pitch or landscaping ventures more cost effective.
