Uses and Types
Warm air heating systems use a fan to force air around a building. The warm air is generally provided through ductwork and grilles, but free standing cabinet warm air heaters are also available. A gas burner is the most popular source of heat. Warm air units can be particularly suitable for hard-to-heat premises such as factories, warehouses, retail malls and churches.
Modern systems are technologically advanced and quiet in operation and provide comfortable temperatures in an energy-efficient way. In an industrial or commercial space, warm air heating can offer significant savings in running costs. An added advantage is the ability to suspend a warm air heater or have it mounted onto a wall, freeing up workspace.
Warm air heaters that double as air conditioning systems are often specified in new builds.
