Our shower is blocked and we think it's linked to our virtually non-existing flushing toilet - and we are blessed with the sewer pipe under our bathroom floor. In general, how big is a manhole in a residential flat?
Many thanks.
I'm not sure I've understood your question correctly. It seems that you may need some professional advice from a plumber to deal with the blockage problem. Please look at our Skilled Tradesmen pages for some useful contacts in your local area.
Nevertheless, regarding manholes:-
Manholes come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and materials.
An 'access chamber' for maintenance and drainage rods should be 225 - 300mm.
An 'inspection chamber' for maintenance equipment 450mm diameter.
A 'manhole' would have the minimum internal dimensions of 600 x 900mm to take inspection equipment and an operative (a 'man').
Kind regards
