I am looking for some pipe to put in a border to drain water into a soak. Do I need perforated and can 5cm diameter do the job as I want to plant over the top? If not, what diameter and how much.

Also, where would I purchase them as most ads seem to be for industrial use.

Your Local Builders Merchants should be able to supply you with some suitable pipe or try a search for 'pipes' under Merchants and Wholesalers, we may have some listed in your area.

It may not be necessary to have perforated pipe, however, soakaways need to be located a certain distance away from any building and therefore I would strongly advise you to contact your Local Authority Building Control team to discuss your project. Contact details can be found under Construction Resources above.

Kind regards
