I have been advised by a supplier of domestic oil tanks that I must install/fix fire resistant panels to the ceiling of the shed housing the tank.
Cann you please advise: material and cost and if there is any reason I cannot fix these myself. Ceiling space is 7' x 5'
Thank you,
John Rolfe.
John
As the Local Authority Building Control Officer will need to inspect and OK the tank and its' housing, I would strongly advise you speak to them before installation (they may also be able to give you some useful tips). Once they have given you the specifications they are looking for then I'm sure any of the companies above would be pleased to help you obtain the panels.
Kind regards

We have been asked to a carry out work on a new spray bay at a vehicle repair centre can you give any information regarding regulations and the 60min fire retardant board we consider would be needed?
I have been told to fix 3 fire resistant panels on a ceiling where the pipes run to the flue from the boiler cupboard. This is so the joints on the pipes can be inspected.
How do i go about it?
Where can i buy them from?
How much will it cost?
Many Thanks
