Walraven Group Acquires Majority Share of Isofix
On April 26 the Walraven Group acquired a majority share of Isofix S.L. the Spanish market leader in pipe supports. Isofix is located just outside Barcelona and has approximately 60 employees. Like Walraven, it is a family-owned company and was founded in 1961.
Due to the economic situation in Spain the company has had a difficult period and found reason to look for a strong partner: Walraven.
As a result of this acquisition, Walraven is now the market leader in the wholesale channel in Spain!
Isofix has a very wide customer base in Spain and Portugal. It also supplies a number of export customers, particularly in Latin America. In addition Isofix offers various new products which complement the Walraven range well.
Another benefit for Walraven is that Isofix has its own production facilities, including a rail profiling unit. For Walraven to have its own production unit in Southern Europe offers the company many logistical advantages.
This acquisition offers Walraven all sorts of possibilities for further expansion.
In the near future the current Isofix customers will be supplied under the brand Isofix - Walraven.
