W Howard Group strengthens its team
As part of continuing to help customers move their projects move forward during these challenging times, W. Howard Group has strengthened its workforce.
Matthew Potts is the latest apprentice to join the company and Jack Weaver has been promoted to Internal Sales Supervisor.
Matthew joined the MDF profiles manufacturer as a recent graduate from the University of Central Lancashire and is working across both the sales and marketing departments as he learns more about the business and the wider industry. He is based in the company’s head office in Astley, Greater Manchester.
Matthew, who has a degree in business management, will be involved in processing orders for the W. Howard Group sales team and, having expressed an interest in digital marketing, will also learn more about the company’s website and digital offering. He will then help to support the team as they embark on the next development stage for W. Howard Group’s digital channels.
Matthew said: “I really enjoyed learning about sales and marketing while I was at university, and I’m looking forward to learning more practical skills as part of the team at W. Howard Group.”
Group Commercial Director Simon Fleet added: “At W. Howard Group we have a long history of supporting apprentices and helping the next generation enter the world of work. We’re delighted to be welcoming Matthew.”
Jack, who was previously an Estimator for the company, is now responsible for ensuring the continued high standards of customer service in the internal sales office, as well as helping to oversee the Estimating Team for the Group’s Polyco and W. Howard businesses.
Jack joined the W. Howard Group in 2014 as a forklift driver, and has since held a number of positions within the company. Simon Fleet said: “Jack has been a fantastic member of the W. Howard Group family for the past six years, and we’re delighted to be able to promote him once again and to help further his career.”
