The Pantone and Dulux colours of the year are a strong indication of how colour will be used in interiors this year, but Urban Front have decided to concentrate on three main colour trends.

Green is everywhere this year and all the tend forecasters have it at the top of their lists. It can be used singularly and seems to be popular as a block colour used all over one room, and also on doors too.

New neutrals are having a comeback but more of a school house white than an off white. This is definitely trending with hues of chocolate as an accent.

Mellow Yellow, a mellower yellow close to mustard is popular and doors in yellow has remained a firm favourite.

Violet is the game changer colour of the year, with hues of purple which work beautifully in any interior.

Blue (Moody blue – darker blue and sky blue) Its not surprising that the Dulux colour of the year is Sky blue. It’s a colour that blends well with all sorts of colours and works well as a backdrop as well as an accent. Darker blue has been popular for doors in the past, so let’s see how a Sky-Blue door appears.
