Tudor roof tiles for old manor house

Hand made clay roof tiles from the Tudor Roof Tile Co have been chosen to enhance the roof performance of a 16th century manor house while keeping the beauty of the house.

Roof work at Wyken Hall

Wyken Hall, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, dating from 1570, is surrounded by gardens which open to the public and an estate which includes a vineyard. The hall aesthetics connect to the surrounding countryside.

The Tudor Roof Tile Co has also been recognised by the Guild of Master Craftsmen, which promoted the company’s durable and sustainable roofing products in an article by MD Paul Lythgoe. Paul explained how ornamental clay tiles can be used to add extra detailing to a roof made from handmade plain or peg tiles, creating individual designs.
