Titon Celebrates 40th Anniversary at Ecobuild 2012

Leading ventilation and window hardware expert, Titon is celebrating 40 years of cutting-edge product design and development at Ecobuild 2012, the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment.

Titon stand

Visitors to its stand (No: S2910, ExCeL, London, 20-22 March 2012) will see the transformation of Titon’s high quality products over the years, from the launch of the ever-popular trickle vents range to the latest generation of ultra-efficient whole house ventilation (with heat recovery) units. The focus of the stand will be the latest additions to the HRV Q Plus whole house ventilation range and Titon will also be displaying state-of-the-art ventilation accessories and sound attenuating ventilation products.

Following a successful attendance at Ecobuild last year, Titon will be showcasing NEW additions, the HRV1.75 Q Plus and HRV2.75 Q Plus, and the ready-for-production HRV10 Q Plus to the range of whole house ventilation (with heat recovery), plus new control features. The range now includes seven models – all of which are Part F 2010 compliant. Also previewing on the stand will be Titon’s latest CGI animations that demonstrate an effective whole house ventilation system and a series of control settings. Featuring a cut-away house, with a typical HRV installation in a service cupboard, with the option of utilising flexible semi-rigid ducting, the animations are designed to highlight practical considerations for specifiers and contractors when meeting current Building Regulations, plus added benefits of the Titon system.

Titon’s HRV Q Plus range features some of the most efficient ventilation units on the market, all independently tested by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and are Energy Saving Trust (EST) Best practice compliant. As standard, all models in the HRV range are fitted with an ‘intelligent’ controller. The controller features a sophisticated frost protection system and summer mode. A summer boost option is also available in all units, (except the HRV1 Q Plus) to help reduce susceptibility to the overheating of dwellings in the summer months. Optional extras include an intelligent 100% summer bypass, a switch activated option which turns off, or reduces supply, when windows are opened.

Along with the HRV range, Titon will be exhibiting its ground-breaking and highly successful central mechanical extract unit - CME1 Q Plus. The combination of aesthetic smooth lines, unique tilted impeller and single level ports provides the ideal solution for a concealed ceiling installation in flats and apartments.

In addition, the CME1 Q Plus has a very large duty range over 400m³/hr at reasonable static pressure – providing System 3 ADF ventilation for dwellings primarily up to 300m² floor area.

Titon’s long established and popular range of background (trickle) vents will also feature on the stand. Titon is the largest manufacturer of trickle vents in the UK, and its extensive range includes products for virtually every window and material. All Titon's trickle vents are designed to provide optimum performance and comply with various Building Regulations and Standards throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

Tyson Anderson, Sales and Marketing Director, Titon said: “We are delighted to celebrate our 40th year of trading with our most comprehensive and high quality range of ventilation systems and hardware products on display at Ecobuild 2012. We look forward to sharing our expertise and considerable experience with visitors to the stand, plus we have some great offers on both products and training – helping installers and specifiers find the very best ventilation systems.”
