The latest Daikin Altherma Monobloc range now MCS approved
The size 6 and 8 BB series Monobloc Air Source air to water heat pump units join the rest of the Daikin Altherma Monobloc range, having achieved MCS certification.
The Monobloc systems, available through Space Air, are ideal for applications where space is at a premium. All of the heat pump components are contained in one outdoor unit with water connections to the central heating system and optional hot water storage cylinder.
The Monobloc system is capable of temperatures up to 55°C without needing supplementary heating. Water pipes, rather than refrigerant pipes, run indoors from the outdoor unit, making installation much quicker and easier for the domestic heating installer.
The Daikin Altherma MCS approved Monobloc range is available in the following versions:
- Heating only or heating and cooling
- With or without bottom plate heater
- Single-phase or three-phase electrical supply
- 6kW and 16kW heating capacity.
The domestic hot water cylinder can be connected to solar collectors as another form of heat transfer. The Monobloc can also connect to Daikin Thermal Storage tanks.
