The Finest Timber Window Guides on Display at Ecobuild

In addition to the recently launched The Guide, an inspirational brochure featuring beautiful window, door and garden room installations in both commercial and domestic projects, Mumford & Wood has introduced the industry-leading Technical Guide for timber window specification. Available on the Wood Window Alliance stand S1830 at Ecobuild 2012, from March 22 – 23, together with premier products from the award-winning Conservation™ range, the Guides are available to visitors free of charge on request.

The Technical Guide is an extensive and informative tool detailing the many bespoke options and patterns of sash, box and historic box sash windows, entrance doors, French doors, casement and feature windows and bi-fold doors in the company’s award-winning Conservation™ range.

Products in the Contemporary™ range, which are designed for today’s crisp and modular architectural style, include casement windows, entrance and French doors, tilt turn windows and balcony doors, as well as the increasingly popular low maintenance tilt turn alu-clad windows and bi-fold doorsets. A triple glazed option, achieving a U-value from as little as 0.8 W/m².K, is also available and meets Passivhaus standards.

Featuring full technical data, engineered timber types, window energy ratings – from BSI ‘A – C’ depending on specification – and performance data, frame options, glass, ironmongery and paint finish options, specifiers have the perfect reference source to ensure products are correctly specified and are Part L Building Regulations’ compliant. Detailed data will ensure specification meets the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes in thermal performance, contributing to the Government’s carbon and CO2 emission reduction targets, and in acoustic control and light meeting required standards of wellbeing. Many products are Secured by Design, and all have the BSI Kitemark and Energy Saving Trust recognitions.

The Hub, an online specification tool on the newly designed http://www.mumfordwood.com website, together with the Technical Guide and The Guide, will shortly allow industry professionals to specify and design fenestration solutions online for easy download and incorporation into bespoke drawings and designs.

Both Guides are packaged in a double-pocket folder for total convenience and easy upgrade. Other brochures, including independent acoustic control test data, are available for download on the website.
