Tensar Corporation Promotes Robert Vevoda to Chief Operating Officer
Tensar Corporation announces the promotion of Robert Vevoda to Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this new position, Vevoda will be responsible for global manufacturing operations in addition to heading up commercial operations as President of Tensar International Corporation, the leader in geosynthetic soil reinforcement and stabilisation.
“With Bob’s experience and successes during his tenure with Tensar, I am very pleased to announce his promotion to Chief Operating Officer,” said Don Meltzer, CEO of Tensar Corporation. “As COO, he adds global manufacturing operations to his responsibilities which include product development, market expansion, industry partnerships, revenue growth and profitability of our geogrid products, grade separation systems, erosion control and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) business areas.”
Vevoda joined Tensar as Vice President of Marketing in 1995; following a series of promotions, he served as President and Managing Director. Prior to Tensar, Bob held several senior management positions, at General Electric, as well as regional sales positions at Owens Corning.
“Tensar is a great company with a strong market leadership position,” Vevoda said. “With the recent strategic moves, new product introductions and the announced additional capacity expansion, Tensar is well positioned for future growth.
“It is very satisfying to have the additional responsibility for manufacturing operations,” Vevoda said. “The combination of our global manufacturing capability with five geographically centred manufacturing facilities around the world and the ever-expanding global commercial operation has positioned Tensar as the market leader. It is my intention with the strong team we have to continue to build on that as we seek further growth.”
