Students and online shopping go hand-in-hand, so the installation of The Safety Letterbox Co’s myRENZbox intelligent parcel boxes has brought many benefits to the receptionist staff at student accommodation in Cardiff.

Parcel boxes at Cardiff accommodation

The Safety Letterbox Co had already manufactured mailboxes for the large development, located less than a 10-minute walk from Cardiff University, so was delighted to be involved again. The new parcel box bank features 17 compartments in a variety of sizes and is fitted in the lobby area close to the front door which ensures easy access for residents, staff and couriers.

The installation has removed all of the stress associated with managing hundreds of parcels a day, freeing up time for staff who would otherwise be responsible for this task. The project uses myRENZbox intelligent parcel boxes which allow for parcel deliveries 24/7, with a 100% successful delivery rate for the courier and the student residents will always receive their parcel as quickly as possible.

The free-standing bank of grey aluminium boxes securely stores parcels for later retrieval. Residents can reserve a particular size of parcel box when they expect a delivery, always ensuring there is a compartment for their order to be stored in.

Management staff have complete control of the bank of parcel parcels via the myRENZbox Portal website, which allows staff to review real-time usage of the parcel boxes.
