Planet Partitioning secures contract at new National Automotive Innovation College
Planet Partitioning is delighted to announce the securement of its contract at the new National Automotive Innovation College (NAIC) at the University of Warwick.
The £100m project, run by Balfour Beatty and part-funded by the car manufacture Jaguar Land Rover, will consist of a 33,000-square metre development on the existing main campus at the University of Warwick. The four-storey ‘L’ shaped building will be home to 500 new Jaguar Land Rover employees in addition to state-of-the-art learning space and facilities for students.
Having started on site early this year, the Planet West office in Chippenham will be providing internal partitioning screens and doorsets for the building.
Professor Lord Bhattacharyya, Chairman of Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), an academic department of the University of Warwick, said: “The National Automotive Innovation Centre will link people, research and world-leading infrastructure to create and develop novel technologies.
“NAIC will be an ‘engine’ for economic growth, with wide economic benefit, and sustained growth from the creation of world-leading technologies. Building will commence soon and through Balfour Beatty the construction of such a significant facility will bring equally significant economic and employment benefits to the local construction sector.”
Planet is delighted to be working on such an innovative project.
