Philip Watts Goes Japanese for Restaurant Project
Creative design and build company Philip Watts Design has completed a stunning interior for Yo! Sushi at Camden, London. The project included designing a Japanese influence mural to be handpainted on the back wall.
The restaurant, which opened just over a month ago, has other dramatic features including sunburst effects on the wall and ceiling, rusty sheet panels on the wall inset with bands of mirrors, and button effects on all the seating in the booths and the stools around the central food dishes belt.
Philip Watts Design is understandably pleased with the outcome.
Another project just completed is a Greggs Moment concept cafe in Middlesborough. This is the second Moment cafe opened by Greggs as part of a trial. The first in Newcastle is proving popular.
PWD’s design for Middlesborough Moment, in Hillstreet shopping centre, is eclectic. Flying ducks adorn traditional style wallpaper and the team went around Middlesborough taking pictures to use on lampshades and walls. Retro tea and coffee pots add to the cosy atmosphere.
