Open Day Offers Guidance to Homes for a Modern Rural Lifestyle
Hebridean Contemporary Homes will be holding an open day with architects at Dualchas Building Design to showcase its modern homes for rural living.
The company believes in beautiful contemporary designs built with modern living in mind while integrating super insulated construction with renewable technology.
It might seem that the city studio flats that have become popular in recent years have a style not suitable for the countryside – where a rural home is characterised by a picturesque cottage with a small window and a stone façade. Yet Hebridean Contemporary Homes feels it is in the countryside that people should want timber floors, high volumes and large areas of glazing. Then they can flood the house with light, watch the weather from behind a large glazed door, and observe the landscape change with the seasons.
Hebridean Homes says a modern rural lifestyle is about more than living in a beautiful house in a stunning setting. It’s about interacting with the community and involvement in local groups. It’s about your place of work. It’s about entertaining friends and making new ones.
Inspired by traditional rural architecture, the award-winning architects at Dualchas Building Design have carefully considered scale, form and materials in their designs for Hebridean Homes. Open-plan living with high volumes and large glazed areas exploit the views and give the houses a bright spacious feel.
As well as supplying a whole-house kit system, Hebridean Contemporary Homes can erect a kit to wind and watertight, but also understands that people are looking for a home – not just a product. So the company’s team of specialists can provide a service that will take customers right through the whole process of building a house – from the choosing of a design to the handing over of the keys.
The Doors Open Day in the Glasgow office, overlooking Glasgow Green and the Winter Gardens, starts at 10am on Saturday July 23rd. It will be a great opportunity for people to have a chat with award-winning architects, get some answers and ideas for their specific build project. Children are more than welcome to come along – even have a go at building the Hebridean Home house model!
