Niftylift Receives Two Queens Awards at its Milton Keynes Factory
Powered access manufacturer Niftylift received the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in ‘Innovation’ and ‘International Trade’ at a ceremony in its Milton Keynes headquarters.
In front of nearly 200 of Niftylift’s Milton Keynes staff, and with local dignitaries in attendance, Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher (Lord Lieutenant of Buckingham) presented Roger Bowden (Chairman) and John Keely (Managing Director) with the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in ‘Innovation’ and in ‘International Trade’.
The ceremony, which was held at Niftylift’s Milton Keynes headquarters on Friday 20th December, marked the end of an extremely successful year for the powered access manufacturer that was characterised in a speech given by Roger Bowden as: “…the culmination of many years of continuous investment, innovative hard work by all, combined with ‘a passion and a will’ to get things done.”
Standing out among this year’s Queen’s Awards winners for receiving not one but two of these prestigious awards (something that only a select few have achieved), Niftylift could be forgiven for feeling quite pleased with this recognition – but it hasn’t rested on its laurels.
Since the initial Queen’s Awards announcement in April, the company has also received the Hire Association Europe’s ‘Supplier of the Year’ and ‘Product of the Year’ awards, has been accredited with the ISO14001 Environmental Standard, has launched three new products and has another new product launch planned for the first quarter of 2014.
And if that wasn’t enough, at the Queen’s Awards ceremony Niftylift also revealed its latest plans to build a brand new state-of-the-art production facility in Milton Keynes, construction of which is due to start in 2014, so Niftylift’s future looks very bright indeed.
Roger Bowden concluded his speech saying: “The hard work and commitment that you (Niftylift staff) have given has allowed us to build very solid and sustainable foundations upon which Niftylift will continue to develop and grow for many years to come.”
