New owners for Furnitubes
Furnitubes has started 2019 with a fresh new start. The previous owners, including the son of the founder, sold the company to new owners in March.
The team is looking forward to the next phase in Furnitubes’ bright future. Some of what they will be doing includes:
- New internal systems and staff training to modernise how Furnitubes interacts with its customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- A hiring programme to expand the reach of Furnitubes design-driven product ranges, from benches to bollards, from bins to posts, rails and planters.
- In the coming months the company will be refining its existing product ranges and launching new products to better meet customers changing demands. These include a greater integration of seating and planters to add green space to urban environments.
- Furnitubes products will continue to be sourced from regional suppliers where possible; the company will continue to use FSC Wood and recyclable materials in line with its cultural values.
A passion for Clever Design will continue to drive Furnitubes’ product ranges, as will a desire to see shared urban public and private spaces become more green and environmentally ascetic, in line with a healthier, cleaner world.
As part of the change in ownership, long-serving Managing Director Anna Curran is retiring at the end of this month. As one of the new owners, Catherine Barratt has taken the role of Executive Director and will lead the team and looks forward to meeting suppliers and customers over the weeks and months to come.
