Kedel plastic wood gates keep costs down
Tongue and groove plastic wood gates manufactured by Kedel have been installed at a housing development in Lancashire, keeping future maintenance costs down.
The back gates and double folding gates in black recycled plastic wood were fitted by CSC Construction at Pendle Council’s new high-quality housing complex in Nelson. Kedel, well known for its recycled mixed plastic lumber and plastic wood for sustainable construction, made the gates at its unit in Colne, Lancashire.
Project architects specified Kedel’s recycled wood with the stated aim of achieving a traditional look but avoiding the long-term maintenance costs that are usually incurred annually with a treated wood alternative.
