Jackpad system proves perfect for education projects

Modular building foundations supplier Jackpad has just completed a summer of education projects for Manchester City Council and Cambridge City Council. The projects, for 12 schools in total, were undertaken for three modular building companies including Springfield Buildings.

The non-invasive nature of the Jackpad system makes it particularly well suited in situations where portable buildings may need to be moved at a later stage as they negate the need for standard concrete foundations. They are also ideal for situations where there is a fall in the ground level on part of the location as they are fully adjustable.

Springfield Managing Director Lyndsey Duggan said: “This is the third year we have worked with Jackpad on education projects in the North West. They are ideal partners for us, particularly when we have tight deadlines to achieve and tricky installation situations. The foundations go down quickly and enable us to get on with the project efficiently and effectively.”

The receiving plates for Jackpad’s foundation system can be designed to suit any customer’s product, so it worked equally well for the modular building companies involved in this summer’s projects.

Kris Cartwright, Jackpad Managing Director said: “Jackpad’s portable foundations were perfect for this situation, they mean that when or if the modules are removed there will be no reinstatement costs in relation to the foundations.”
