Jackpad features in George Clarkes Amazing Spaces on Channel 4

Leicester-based Jackpad Ltd will see its products featured tonight in George Clarke’s new series Amazing Spaces to be screened on Channel 4 at 8p.m. The Jackpad product provides reusable foundations for modular buildings and is suitable for temporary or permanent use, the key advantage being that there is no need to dig footings and fill them with concrete to provide foundations.

Kris Cartwright of Jackpad

In tonight’s programme, a couple wanting to create an enviable business-based art studio on the shores of the Wirral peninsula, enlisted the help of professionals Swift Garden Rooms in Poynton Cheshire who had two major issues to resolve; first a lack of access for materials and machinery and second the plot they were building on was on a coastal strip of clay, rock and sand.

Jackpads provided a perfect environmentally friendly solution – manufactured from 100% recycled plastic and painted steel, the product includes incremental packers which overcome any fall in the ground, so levelling is simple and foundations structurally sound. Suitable for up to treble storey modular buildings, Jackpads proved invaluable for the project being featured.

Managing Director of Jackpad Kris Cartwright (pictured) said: “It’s great to see Jackpad products solving some really quite tricky foundation problems – because they’re portable, quick, adjustable and re-usable they can turn what could be a nightmare into an easy exercise!”
