Hale Village waterproofing keeps leaks at bay
A waterproofing contractor was needed at Hale Village, Tottenham, to prevent water ingress from the podium above an underground car park. Main contractor United House called in waterproofing specialist Cemplas, which has been providing waterproofing solutions since 1969.
Cemplas Waterproofing and Concrete Repair Ltd operatives thoroughly washed down all concrete surfaces, and any deep hollows, indents or other unacceptable defects in the surfaces were made good. Preparation work was followed by the application of RIW Cementseal, a two-component polymer modified cement based waterproof concrete sealer coating which, once cured, forms a durable tough waterproof coating which acts as a concrete waterproofing sealer and protects the concrete. This was applied to the planters and walkways (before and after pictured below) incorporating a Hypalon strip over all the movement joints.
On completion of the works, which were carried out to the full satisfaction of the client, Cemplas gave a 10-year guarantee.
