Hags Play and SMP Playgrounds Combine Forces
UK market-leading outdoor play equipment and playground specialists HAGS Play Ltd and SMP Playgrounds Ltd, both part of PlayPower Inc., the world's largest fully integrated manufacturer of commercial playgrounds, have combined their operations.
The new organisation created will be known as HAGS SMP and will promote and sell SMP, HAGS and other PlayPower brands.
The company will operate from two sites in the UK: the headquarters being located at new purpose built premises in Egham, Surrey with manufacturing taking place at what was SMP Playground's facility in Selby, Yorkshire.
The creation of the new organisation, effective from November 5th, is a natural progression for two of the UK's most successful and well respected play companies who, over the last 2 years have responded to changing market conditions and emerging business opportunities by collaborating and sharing resources and expertise across a number of areas most notably new product development, distribution and export co-ordination and management.
Mr Mark Hardy, Executive Vice President at PlayPower Inc says:

HAGS SMP will be led by Managing Director, Steve Sylvester, who comments:
