Press Room: GEZE UK Achieves Living Wage Accreditation

GEZE UK Achieves Living Wage Accreditation

GEZE UK proudly announces its accreditation as a Living Wage Employer, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to fair wages and responsible employment practices. The Living Wage, calculated based on the cost of living, ensures that employees receive compensation that meets their everyday needs, reflecting the true value of their work.

As a Living Wage Employer, GEZE UK joins over 14,000 businesses across the UK who voluntarily uphold this standard, recognizing the importance of ensuring their staff are adequately compensated for their contributions. To achieve accreditation, GEZE UK confirmed that all directly employed staff receive the real Living Wage and implemented a plan to extend this to all contractors.

Rachel Boxall, Finance Director of GEZE UK, commented, "We decided to go for the Living Wage accreditation as we think it is an excellent way to demonstrate our commitment to being a responsible employer. By paying the real Living Wage (as opposed to the national living wage set by Government) we are voluntarily taking a stand to ensure employees can earn a wage which is enough to live on.”

Paying the real Living Wage not only benefits employees but also enhances the company's reputation and fosters a more motivated and productive workforce. It contributes to staff retention, attraction of top talent, and overall competitiveness in the market.

Andrew Gordon, Programme Officer at the Living Wage Foundation, expressed enthusiasm about GEZE UK's accreditation, stating "Basic fairness lies at the core of the Living Wage campaign, and we commend GEZE UK for their commitment to going above and beyond the government minimum. Their dedication to fair wages sets a commendable example for other businesses to follow."

GEZE UK joins a prestigious cohort of accredited Living Wage Employers, including Liverpool FC, Aviva, Oxfam, and Ikea, reaffirming its position as a responsible and ethical employer.
