GEZE Kaz takes GAI presidency

GEZE UK Managing Director, Kaz Spiewakowski, is set to embark on a new journey as he assumes the two-year presidency of the esteemed Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI).

With a keen focus on education and forging stronger relationships with RIBA and overseas members, Kaz aims to enhance value and professional development opportunities for GAI members. Having served as the vice president for the past two years, working closely alongside outgoing president Mario Del-Signore, Kaz is well-prepared to lead the organization into a promising future.
One of Kaz's primary areas of focus is education, aiming to revamp the process of developing educational material and its delivery. The GAI will explore avenues for validating and third-party auditing content, while also considering the creation of fresh educational resources. By bolstering educational initiatives, Kaz seeks to empower GAI members in their pursuit of continuous professional development (CPD) and compliance, emphasizing the significance of training and demonstrating competence. He acknowledges the progress made in promoting professionalism, including the prestigious REG AI status, and endeavours to build upon those achievements.
Simon Forrester, Chief Executive of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers, expresses his delight in Kaz's appointment as GAI President. Acknowledging the longstanding association between GEZE and the GAI, with many GEZE team members holding GAI qualifications or actively participating in Guild committees, Simon extends his best wishes to Kaz for a fruitful and successful presidency.
