ESF wins small business international award
Environmental Street Furniture is delighted to have been named winner of the Federation of Small Businesses’ International Business of the Year award for Northern Ireland.
The company, which operates in four product areas and is known for innovation in each of these sectors, has worked hard to create a successful business that provides quality street furniture both locally and globally to international clients.
An example of ESF’s global customers is Disney Imagineers, which asked ESF to design and supply custom benches for its latest stage show ‘Moana’ opening in the Hong Kong Park. The benches had to look like ‘wood’ with no use of wood in them at all.
ESF worked through the design brief, which included detailed honeycomb internal support and custom paint finish on the fibre resin to ensure a ‘wood like’ finish was created with little or no maintenance required. Hidden internal fixing ensured the design was seamless and no trip hazards were created through protruding ground bolts.
Adult sized and child sized benches were developed and installed to ensure a comfortable and accessible viewing area for all guests attending the show as it runs five times daily.
ESF supplied over 100 custom benches to this fantastic and magical project.
