Developer chooses Westbury legacy box sash windows for his own home
Westbury Windows and Joinery was delighted to be contacted when the buyer of a neglected building in Hertfordshire required timber windows for a sympathetic renovation of the listed property.
The buyer was the MD of a construction company, who took on the renovation project of this building in Ware to make it into his own home. The team at Westbury are always delighted when a developer calls them for their own personal housing projects, because then they know that the client has been pleased with Westbury’s performance and service in previous work with them.
Because the listed property had been empty for some years before being bought, the developer was entitled to a reduced VAT rate on the costs of renovating the property.
On this project Westbury Windows and Joinery supplied, measured and delivered Legacy Box Sash Windows with SN70 solar reflective glazing to reduce the heat in summer, in addition to faceted/shaped bay windows to the side elevation with a curved cill projection to finish.
Sister company Westbury Garden Rooms designed and created a garden room with two roof lanterns for added light and space, which sits harmoniously with the building’s historic design. Sympathetic renovation design is a key area of expertise for Westbury which is architecturally led and has an extensive understanding of period building dynamics.
