CED Stone depots open to support projects nationwide

With changes in place to ensure the safety of everyone, CED Stone is reassuring customers that all six nationwide depots remain open for business. Collections can be arranged from landscape depots and deliveries have resumed. The aim is to continue to protect the welfare of colleagues and the broader community while supporting clients and enabling them to carry on with projects such as this recent garden at a hospital in Nottingham:

The garden at the Queen’s Medical Centre was opened by 11 Foundation, a charity set up by Former England footballer Joe Cole and his wife Carly. The garden is the first in a line of NHS Hospital gardens planned, with the ambition of inspiring like-minded businesses to support their local or district hospitals and create more of these sites across the country.
The garden was designed by the team at Jo Thompson Garden Design who donated their services, and the build was completed by Butterworth Horticulture. CED Stone was approached by designer Naomi Atkinson who explained that the charity relies on generous donations from the public and companies and asked if CED would be interested in being involved.
The design required gravel for the curved pathway so CED happily donated its Flint Gravel and gravel stabilisation system CEDApath for the garden. Giles Heap, CED Stone Group MD, commented: “We were only too happy to assist with this one, the hospital being local to our Langley Mill Depot. I think this is a great way of saying ‘thank you’ to all those that have really put themselves out throughout this pandemic.”
The garden will be an area for health and well-being where therapies can take place, meditation and yoga classes can be held and mindfulness can be practised.
