Causeway Sponsors ICE BIM Conference
Causeway is sponsoring and exhibiting at the ICE BIM 2011 conference on 19th October 2011 – ‘Becoming BIM Proficient’.
Delegates to the Institute of Civil Engineers inaugural BIM conference will be able to learn more about Causeway’s range of products for the built environment. Solutions such as the Professional Design Suite (PDS), which delivers vital BIM functionality to civil engineers, as well as the Causeway BIMMeasure for taking dynamic automated measurements from BIM models.
The digital modelling BIM capabilities of PDS include borehole modelling, calculations from multiple models, automatic generation of formation quantities, storage pond modelling, dynamic cut and fill analysis and surface design tools. BIMMeasure, developed in partnership with leading Cost Consultants such as Davis Langdon, liberates the information from Building Information Models (BIMs) so it can be used interactively and effectively throughout the cost management and control life cycle. As such it combines direct and interactive access to BIMs with a powerful set of measurement, costing and scheduling tools.
Causeway’s CATO suite uses the information from a BIM or traditional drawings to provide an end-to-end cost management solution from feasibility through to final accounts. CATO enables bills of quantities and cost plans to be created in a controlled environment, delivering significant benefits at all stages of cost advice and management.
Causeway staff will also be on hand to discuss individual requirements with delegates to recommend the most appropriate solutions.
Organised by the Institution of Civil Engineers, ICE BIM 2011 will provide key information on role of the BIM in the UK construction industry and features an expert speaker line-up who will share experiences and best practice.
