Wybone has Bespoke Solution for School Bench
Ask and you will receive. That’s exactly what Mossley Primary School in Ireland did when they wanted a new bench for a courtyard area in their playground. Staff took advantage of Wybone’s bespoke service to create something tailor-made to their specifications.
The school needed a bench which could seat up to 30 children and so the ‘Jigsaw Bench’ was designed.
Headteacher Steven Mulligan said: “Our requirements were very specific because we wanted something which would fit into a certain area and seat up to 30 pupils. Luckily we were able to work closely with the design team at Wybone, who came up with the perfect solution. The ‘Jigsaw Bench’ is just what we wanted and works perfectly in the space. We’ll now be able to use it for years to come.”
This bench is multi-functional and can be used in a number of ways to suit a number of locations. Designer Daniel Reed created it with flexibility in mind which means each section can be separated and used as a single seat or attached together to make an attractive arch shape.
Daniel explains how it can be utilised:
“This a very user-friendly bench because it can be pieced together to offer enough seating for 30 people or separated out to form smaller sections. The curved parts can be slotted together in a number of ways including an attractive ‘S’ shape’.
Although ideal for schools and colleges, the ‘Jigsaw Bench’ would work equally well in an urban space or park setting and could be used alongside Wybone’s other street furniture ranges.
