Tudor Extends its Under Tile Ventilation System
The leading roof tile manufacturer has developed its invisible under-tile ventilation systems.
Tudor Roof Tile Co Ltd, Britain's foremost independent handmade roof tile manufacturer, has extended its unique system of under-tile ventilation, to include warm as well cold roof applications.
Completely concealed from view, this ‘invisible’ system is suitable for new build and large-scale roof renovation projects in areas of historic sensitivity, where modern tile vents are sometimes considered aesthetically inappropriate.
Originally developed and patented by Tudor in co-operation with County Planning Building Control, the under-tile ventilation takes advantage of the large degree of cross camber found in most Tudor roof tiles, which allows an average venting space of 480mm² per tile (or approximately 9,000mm² for 12 tiles).
“Under-tile ventilation offers considerable benefits to architects and homeowners committed to maintaining the aesthetic integrity of traditional or heritage buildings as well as customers, who simply prefer an uninterrupted roofline without unsightly roof vents and soil stacks,” said Paul Lythgoe, Managing Director of Tudor Roof Tile Co Ltd.
Tudor’s concealed under tile venting system is practical and easy to install and complies, for the purpose of roof space venting, mechanical and soil pipe venting, with relevant building regulations.
