Stanton Bonna announce new pipe joint

A concrete pipe joint introduced by Stanton Bonna will improve both the productivity of pipe laying gangs and pipeline performance.

The Integrated Gasket (IG) joint utilises innovative technology already widely accepted in the UK and mainland Europe in the form of an integrated gasket and protective strip cast into the pipe socket at the factory. This eliminates the need to fit loose gaskets on site, ensuring quicker installation and improvements in pipe laying productivity.

The protective strip also serves to fix the gasket in the correct position and prevents debris entering the joint sealing area, both of which are critical for watertight and consistently reliable concrete pipe joints.

The IG joint will be especially useful to contractors in wet ground conditions, where previously it could be problematic ensuring a loose gasket was correctly positioned. Also, no longer having to fit a loose gasket will produce savings in time and labour, particularly relevant to the larger diameter pipes.

Now available for circular pipes, between 300-1800mm diameter, the IG joint pipe range complements Stanton Bonna’s existing market leading range of precast, concrete drainage products.
