On the Level introduces Linear Drainage System
On the Level, the UK’s leading manufacturer of concealed wet floor shower trays (known as formers), has introduced a new system which provides the perfect solution for creating wetroom floors using larger tile formats.
The new Linear Drainage system is an ideal partner for floors using marble, limestone or any fashionable large-scale tiles. Unlike conventional wet floors with smaller, square drains, the linear design means that the tile does not have to be mitred in order to achieve the fall to the drain, plus there are fewer grout lines making the floor tiles quicker to install and a breeze to keep clean.
Drawing on their 30 years experience in the design and manufacture of wet floors, On the Level collaborated with drainage experts McAlpine in order to offer a total floor system, with former, drain and grate, plus the necessary ancillary products like the tanking kit – everything you need to create the perfect large-tiled wetroom.
At the heart of the system is On the Level’s patented underfloor former made from 24mm Birch Ply. This is available in 18 stock sizes from 900x900mm through to double entry formers measuring a generous 1200x2400mm – On the Level are the only UK manufacturer to produce these double entry models and also the only manufacturer who can produce bespoke solutions in any size or shape, including trays with multiple outlets for luxuriously large shower spaces. Suitable for all floor types, including timber floorboards, all formers are produced with precision falls towards the linear channel and into the drain.
To ensure that the drainage is adequately specified, there is a choice of five drainage systems to suit the tray size and shower flow rate. And finally, as the only part of the floor visible to the customer, the grating is an equally important element. Made from polished stainless steel, there are six designs to choose from in five possible lengths to achieve the perfect finishing touch to this practical, contemporary and highly attractive wet floor.
