Notts Sport Appoints New Installer in South West

The synthetic surfacing specialist has expanded to include company Arborista for the installation and maintenance of Notts Sport’s ChildsPlay systems in the South West.

Notts Sport – the UK’s leading designer of synthetic surfacing systems for sport, play and leisure – has expanded its team of expert installers with the appointment of Somerset company Arborista to serve the South West.

Based in Wells, Arborista has built up more than five years of expertise in the installation and maintenance of non-turf systems and recently undertook the specialist training required by Notts Sport to become an authorised installer of its ChildsPlay systems.

The appointment will enable Notts Sport to develop new interest in the South West for its synthetic playground surfacing systems for schools, nurseries, local authorities, and private companies.

Arborista provides a wide range of services, including tree surgery, condition assessment and ancient and veteran tree management, grounds maintenance, landscape design and build, native species conservation and bat surveys.

Clients include Anchor Housing Association Ltd, Nomenca Ltd and RM Penny and Ivel Barbarians Rugby Club.

Ian Chedgy, Director and Practice Manager of Arborista, comments: “We are delighted to be recognised by Notts Sport as having the professionalism and skills they insist on as a leading UK designer of safer surfacing for sports and play.

“We are well known locally for traditional arboricultural, landscape and environmental services, but in recent years we have been expanding to meet the growing demand for artificial surfacing solutions and we see this as a key part of our future business.”

Andy Carter, Notts Sport Chief Executive, adds: “We take great care to find the best installation teams available to serve the growing demand for our products, and Arborista fits the bill in Somerset.”

ChildsPlay systems are ideal for schools and nurseries looking to provide equipment-linked or a free play environment.

The ChildsPlay system offers outstanding levels of shock absorbency, offering critical fall height protection up to three metres.

The tactile VHAF NottsSward synthetic turf surface is available in a palette of 15 colours and offers improved grip, eliminates mud and worn grass, and can also be used to refurbish an existing facility or to cover flat or undulating areas of ground.

Notts Sport has over 25 years’ experience in designing, advising upon and supplying artificial surfacing systems, and is committed to providing effective solutions for clients including councils, schools, clubs and national and regional sports bodies.
