MP Visits New Hazlemere Head Office and Factory
Hazlemere Window Company hosted a factory visit by the Conservative MP for High Wycombe, Steven Baker. The event was organised by RBS, which kindly lent the Hazlemere Group sufficient funding to purchase its new Head Office and factory on Cressex Business Park, right next door to the company’s existing freehold showroom and "old factory" premises.
Steven Baker MP and senior RBS staff toured both the new factory, showroom and head offices on Friday, 22nd October 2010, talking to Hazlemere Windows Directors, managers, production and administrative staff.
The Royal Bank of Scotland has assisted with Hazlemere Windows’ expansion, enabling the company to consolidate all production under one new 38,000 square feet roof in Wellington Road, on Cressex Business Park, High Wycombe. As part of their investment in property, the Hazlemere Group replaced the original steel single glazed windows in the old run-down factory with thermally efficient aluminium double glazed windows, to match the aluminium blue windows in Hazlemere’s adjacent 4,000 square foot home improvement showroom. By replacing all the existing windows and doors with high quality aluminium commercial windows and doors, not only is the premises more secure, better looking and warmer, it has added thousands of pounds onto the value of the site.
The RBS staff visiting with Steven Baker MP were Jim Heppell, Director of Commercial Banking for Chilterns and Aylesbury Vale, Phil Walls, Senior Relationship Manager, and Zoe Martin, Regional Communications Manager. They were given a guided tour by Hazlemere Group Managing Director Stuart Braham and by Sales Director Tony Beale, both of whom have been with this thriving family business for well over 20 years.
The High Wycombe MP saw Hazlemere Windows CNC machines in operation and took the time to meet several of Hazlemere Windows’ fabricators, as well as office staff. Given that the majority ownership of RBS is by the British taxpaper, the bank is keen to show it is investing "our money" wisely, so brought Steven Baker to see how Hazlemere has used the commercial loan sensibly in bricks and mortar and efficient production machinery.
