Leyland Lovelies Double Up
Leyland Trade has once again turned heads across the British Touring Car Championship grid after two lucky ladies became honorary Leyland Lovelies for the final weekend of the season at Brands Hatch.
Amanda Wheel and Louise Mayhew emerged triumphantly from the 'Be A Leyland Lovely For The Day' competition, seeing off the challenge of four other aspiring Lovelies to take their places alongside regulars Tina and Sophie as official grid girls for Leyland-sponsored BTCC team Airwaves BMW.
The girls not only had the opportunity to strut their stuff in front of thousands of BTCC fans, but also got to rub shoulders with the stars, namely Ben Collins – formerly known as ‘The Stig’ – who was racing for Airwaves BMW over the course of the weekend.
Leyland Brand Manager, Nicki Hickman, said: “The competition attracted a huge number of entries so it is testament to Amanda and Louise that they came out on top. Both girls fitted into the role of a Leyland Lovely seamlessly and they were a credit to both the brand and themselves throughout the weekend!”
