Fast Way to See Procter Sliding Entrance Gates Installed

Procter Sliding Entrance Gates has produced a new video to show how its latest Pro glide powered sliding gates can be installed in just one day, thereby keeping disruption to an absolute minimum.

The new video, which can be viewed on the Procter Sliding Entrance Gates website, compresses a seven-hour day into just three and a half minutes. A commentary explains the process by which the gate is delivered to site pre-assembled, then lifted into position using the lorry-mounted crane and fixed to the pre-prepared bases. Electrical connections are then made, minor tasks completed and the gate fully tested to ensure that the operating mechanism, safety features and access controls are functioning correctly.
Although the video shows a cantilevered gate, the installation process is similar for tracked gates except that these also require a guide rail to be preinstalled in addition to the bases.
Compared with the conventional approach in which the gate is largely assembled on site, Procter's one-day installation minimises disruption for the customer and helps to keep costs competitive, as assembling the gate at the point of manufacture is far more efficient than on-site assembly.
Procter Sliding Entrance Gates offers a comprehensive range of sliding gates comprising the Series 10, Series 20 and Series 30 Pro-glide cantilevered and tracked sliding gates. This range gives architects and specifiers an extensive choice of options to suit an almost unlimited variety of commercial, industrial and public sector applications. Moreover, Series 30 Pro-glide gates give architects complete freedom regarding aesthetics, as well as further scope for enhancing the technical specifications. Single-leaf cantilevered gates can be manufactured up to 8m wide and single-leaf tracked gates up to 16m wide; bi-parting double-leaf gates can be manufactured for openings up to 16m and 32m wide, respectively.
Procter Sliding Entrance Gates provides an all-inclusive service that covers the site survey, design, manufacture, delivery, installation and servicing. All Procter powered sliding gates are CE marked in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC that came into force on 29th December 2009. Installation teams are fully trained and accredited by organisations and schemes such as CHAS (Contractors Health & Safety Scheme), Construction Line and Safe Contractor. If required, the Procter Fencing Systems division of the same company can supply perimeter fencing and hinged gates to complement the Pro-glide sliding gates.
