EnviroVent launches MEV Spider Ventilation System

This week sees the launch of the MEV Spider designed and manufactured by EnviroVent at their factory in Harrogate.
This new application adds a dynamic element to the world of sustainable ventilation solutions - the age of the ‘Spider’ is here. The system is the latest member of innovative products to join the highly acclaimed Lifetime Range® which have revolutionised the industry since the creation of the EnviroVent Filterless Extactor Fan.
SAP eligible, the MEV Spider is an efficient low energy, continuous mechanical extract ventilation system. It is designed with multiple extract points to simultaneously draw mtoisture-laden air out of the wet rooms, whilst minimising the migration of humidity to other rooms. The unit is centrally located, for example in a hallway cupboard or loft, with ducts running from the unit to the kitchen, bathroom, en-suite and other wet zones.
Ideal for a 3-bedroom semi or apartment, the unit’s compact size and unique spigot configuration provides an easy installation into any vertical or horizontal position. With up to 9 spigot connecting points it offers optimal versatility - perfect for restricted places. The system also offers convenience to the installer in the form of self sealing duct connections along with a quick fit bayonet connection and is easy to clean by simply clipping out the quick change washable filter. Cost effective and complete with the confidence of a 5 year guarantee the MEV Spider provides the optimum solution to meet the demand of today’s ventilation requirements.
Innovative control options
The system is available with a number of innovative control options one of which being intelligent single room zoning to allow instant ventilation to a particular area in the home. This works by incorporating hygroscopic values which respond to changes in humidity and open proportionately. This is enabled via a tracking device that monitors the humidity every 3 seconds, speeding up the fan in direct proportion: - as the airflow increases the system senses the increase in humidity and then tracks back down when the humidity decreases.
This function is specific to a single extract zone, such as the kitchen, which means only one zone is affected rather than the entire unit operating in boost mode. This ensures that extract performance constantly matches humidity and occupancy levels to achieve optimum effectiveness with the lowest energy use. Other control options include a wireless control switch and automatic boost sensing switching for PIR, Humidity and CO2 sensing.
Adding Style
Available with the MEV Spider is the EnviroVent Mini Diffuser. This is a stylish alternative to standard ceiling vents, with easy to clean filters that prohibit contaminants entering the unit and act as a second defence in conjunction with the system’s internal filter.
