Music fans can enjoy their favourite brand-name foods at festival sites, thanks to CKS temporary kitchens.

Music festivals have really taken off. There are more than 100 in the summer months in the UK alone and the festival environment is seen as a good place to advertise. Food companies have progressed festival catering from basic burgers (veggie and otherwise) to sophisticated dishes from across the globe. Brand names sponsor some major festivals and some leading restaurant chains open themed areas to attract customers and push their products.

But a foodservice offering is only as good as the kitchen behind it, which, at festivals, has to function in the middle of a field or park, sometimes away from major utilities. CKS kitchens modules are delivered on-site fully equipped and ready-to-use, they can be up and running within 24 hours of receiving an order. Their modular design means they can be linked together or even stacked one on top of the other, depending on space limitations. All are designed to meet the latest Food and Hygiene Regulations.

Sizes range from the small 3.8m x 2.8m kitchen with a serving hatch and enough space for two chefs to work alongside each other to the large 8.6m x 2.8m module for up to six chefs. CKS also supplies storage units and washing-up facilities complete with rack dishwashers.
