British Recycled Products sponsors Big Green Weekend
British Recycled Products is delighted to be sponsoring the Big Green Weekend, Hebden Bridge's celebration of all things green for the second consecutive year, during this Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, 23rd - 25th May.
British Recycled Products, specialising in construction and landscaping products made from recycled material, is committed to community engagement and the promotion of sustainability as widely as possible and, as a part of this, the Big Green Weekend has been organised to highlight a broad range of ecological issues and solutions.
Director, Jason Elliott, commented “We are fortunate to be based in one of the most innovative, creative and environmentally aware places in the country. Taking this opportunity to help highlight Hebden Bridge with a Big Green Weekend was a logical decision, considering the threat posed by Climate Change and the increased need for society to shift towards a most sustainable way of living.”
From music to street theatre, political debate to alternative technology, film to fashion, there is a packed schedule of events in store, including plenty to keep the kids occupied from learning circus skills to storytelling.
All signs point to this year’s event being even more successful than last year, and Jason is looking forward to taking the event to another level in 2010. In addition, British Recycled Products are getting involved in a range of activities to promote their environmental ethos, from a video making competition for schools to engage children with green issues, to the prospect of a music festival in
Hebden Bridge that will rock the valley!
