Ahmarra host CPD event for heightened fire door safety awareness
Supporting Fire Door Safety Week 2023, Ahmarra recently organized an enlightening CPD event at our production facility in Havant, Hampshire. This informative gathering provided a valuable opportunity for contractors, architects, building surveyors, and fire safety officers to gain deeper insights into the significance of fire door specification and their critical role in preserving lives.
During the event, Ahmarra's Business Development Director, Martyn Fennell, delivered a comprehensive presentation covering crucial aspects such as the manufacturing process, testing procedures, certification, installation, and performance of fire doors. The aim was to provide clarity on the specification process.
Ahmarra were fortunate to have the support of our esteemed suppliers, Dormakaba and Lorient, at the event. Dormakaba conducted a session on closer types and hardware in their mobile showroom, while Lorient was available for discussions on door sealing systems.
Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the purpose-built manufacturing facility, guided by Ahmarra’s Sales Director, Ian Martin. This firsthand experience allowed them to witness the craftsmanship behind the creation of their bespoke timber doorsets, frames, and screens.
