Ahmarra fire doors chosen for veterinary college upgrade
The UK’s oldest veterinary school, the Royal Veterinary College, is undergoing a multi-million-pound refurbishment programme at its London campus and Ahmarra doorsets have been installed as part of the improvements.
Ahmarra won the contract to supply fire doors and glazed screens with sub-contractor Avi Contracts. The company manufactured over 100 bespoke walnut veneer and Formica laminate-faced fire doors, as well as a series of glazed screens in solid walnut frames.
All doors were supplied and installed under the Q-Mark Fire Door Manufacturer Schemes, which ensures a fully compliant and third-party certified product.
Ian Martin, Ahmarra’s Commercial Sales and Estimating Manager, said: “We are very proud to supply doorsets and screens for such a prestigious building. The upgrade to this world-renowned college will ensure that staff and students can work in modern, spacious facilities.”
Years of experience working with education centres, has led Ahmarra to develop a range of doors specifically suited to the sector. The education range offers many design options, including fire & acoustic ratings, facings & finishes, frames & architrave, ironmongery and more.
