Ahmarra achieves dual certification for fire and security for flat entrance doorsets
Ahmarra offers dual certification for both Q-Mark Fire Door Manufacture and Q-Mark Enhanced Security for its Secured By Design (SBD) internal flat entrance doors.
These certified security fire doors provide peace of mind that the people, property and assets within the building are protected from opportunist thieves, vandalism, attack, fire and smoke.
In order to achieve independent, third-party certification, Ahmarra submitted sample doorsets for primary testing to a UKAS accredited testing facility. The tests conducted demonstrated the door’s ability to resist fire for at least 30 minutes, as well as an intruder’s attempts to use stealth to gain entry to PAS 24 test standards. Third-party certification ensures doors not only meet stringent security standards, but continue to be manufactured to a consistent quality through regular audit checks.
All Secured By Design (SBD) housing developments require entrance doors to have third-party security certification. SBD is an official police initiative that aims to improve the security of buildings and their surroundings, by incorporating crime prevention measures at the design stage. The initiative has achieved significant success, including one million homes built to SBD standards with reductions in crime of up to 87%.

Ahmarra is currently supplying and installing hundreds of PAS 24 flat entrance doors in Southampton tower blocks, as part of the council’s social housing fire safety upgrade project. The company has also manufactured entrance doors for luxury apartments such as Parliament House and The Pentagon. Doors are manufactured as complete pre-hung doorsets with all associated ironmongery factory fitted on a supply only or supply and fit basis by their team of Q-Mark certified fire door installers.
Fire rated security doors are made to order in a size and finish to suit a client’s bespoke design requirements.
