ACO and FDF put hygiene first
ACO Building Drainage has teamed up with the Food & Drink Federation (FDF) to host a one-day workshop on hygienic engineering and design. The ‘Hygiene by Design’ event has been organised to help manufacturers develop best practice based upon the principles of hygienic engineering and design, and their application at every stage of the manufacturing process from plant design through to processing and packaging.
Aimed at major food manufacturers and drink producers as well as smaller niche producers, the event will feature key speakers from leading specialist architects, contractors and product suppliers, academic bodies, leading industry experts and major retailers.
Andy Buchan, Divisional Managing Director of ACO Building Drainage, comments: “As a leading designer and manufacturer of hygienically designed drainage, we are keen to raise awareness for the principles and benefits of hygienic design in all aspects of food manufacturing.
“This event will enable attendees to obtain best practice guidance, hear about real life case studies and learn about role of hygienic design from the perspective of a major retailer. Ultimately, it will help all attendees to improve the performance of their operations, protect their brand reputations and protect the public from the increasing risks posed by food-borne pathogens.”
The event will be held at the Food & Drink Federation’s London offices on 21 June. For more information and to book your ticket visit http://www.fdf.org.uk/events/Hygiene-By-Design
